Shipping & Delivery Logistics

We prefer to keep things easy, and part of that involves delivering your timber items as quickly as we can. Here are some of the shipping-related queries we receive the most:

How do we calculate your shipping cost?
Weight, destination, package size, and the day the shipment is dispatched all affect the shipping cost. Every carrier has weight and dimension restrictions. When you go beyond these thresholds, shipping becomes more expensive. Keep in mind that as wood is heavy, shipping costs could be higher than expected. Here are a few advices.

  1. Shipping is free for both our value packs and inspector’s choice boards. Truck delivery is used to ship these goods.
  2. Lowest flat shipping prices are available for FTL (Full Trucks Load) deliveries. Depending on the quantity to be transported we offer special discounts of free delivery to your warehouse address.   For major orders, this will provide you with the best shipping pricing.
  3. LTL (Less Truck Load) orders can still be transported, although the cost may increase. Orders can be packaged in pallets. Shipping could be more expensive as a result. Unless otherwise stated, anything weighing less than 15 tons will be transported through LTL.
  4. Make a lot of purchases. Determine whether your order may be processed as FTL (Full Truck Load). At 50 tons or more, FTL shipments are the most inexpensive. When buying 250–500 board feet, FTL shipping costs per board foot become more reasonable. To avoid paying for shipping twice, plan ahead for upcoming jobs. Also, you might want to order more board footage than you anticipated. Keeping some extra lumber on hand is a good idea. This will ensure that you have adequate timber in case you make a mistake, have a little project, or need to make a repair. The only drawback to LTL orders (Less Truck Load) is that a recipient must be present when the shipment is delivered. If a person is unable to attend, we can arrange for a different shipping method for you.
  5. Given that we are aware of how expensive shipping can be, we make every effort to secure the lowest shipping costs for you. Only the amount the carrier charges us is what we bill you for.

When will my order be delivered?
Within three to four business days of receiving your order, we begin processing it. The products in your order will then determine how quickly we can dispatch it. When your order leaves our facilities, we’ll send you an email with delivery tracking information and keep you updated along the way. When will my order arrive?
Within 3 to 4 business days after we receive your order, we process it. The products in your order will then determine how quickly we can dispatch it. We cannot predict the travel time because we ship via a network of freight firms, the maximum estimated time of arrival is 5 days for depending on your delivery location. Please email us at info@primewoodpellets.co if you need an estimated transit time for an FTL cargo.

I don’t reside in the UK. Please ship to me.
Yes, we can ship to every country in Europe and to any seaport in the world, except for Belarus and Russia. The estimated delivery time is 5 days after your order has been processed.

Once my order leaves your warehouse, can I trace it?
Yes, you will receive an email notification as soon as your order is placed, processed, and ready to leave our facility with delivery tracking information.
